The Belladonna Delphiniums are cultivated hybrids that are great border s and informal cut flowers. s grow to a height of 90-120cm and do not generally need staking except in more exposed sites. Delphiniums grow best in sun to part shade and moist, well-drained fertile soils. They are deciduous and hardy, so suitable for a wide range of UK gardens. Sow in late winter/early spring for first year flowers. Sow into late summer for next year flowering. Sow the in a tray or cells of seed compost, keep at 20-25°C and germination takes 2-3 weeks.
