Useful for recovery after illness or injury/Some modifications necessary
I'm using this adjustable desk for laptop, journaling and crafts. As I've needed to keep all pressure off the base of my spine, I have been using a special chair which reclines backwards while providing support. I wanted a desk with a divided top portion, to be working at an angle, with my drink and my snacks on the level portion. I chose this Tiger Dad adjustable desk because I knew that the usual base would not fit under my low -construction chair. The base of the Tiger Dad desk does swing out, to the side of a chair, as promised in the description. As I expected, the Tiger Dad desk in this position is unbalanced and must be weighted. I have two tool boxes, both filled with heavy tools, serving as counter -balance to the two sections of the desk. For any user wanting to swing the base out to the side of a chair, this type of counter-weighting is the alternative to your laptop catapulting across your room, followed by a messy arc of coffee and snacks. I purchased this adjustable desk with this understanding, that the base would not fit under my special inclined chair, and that I would be placing heavy tool boxes on the base. The Tiger Dad desk is not a beautiful piece of furniture. This will never be a family heirloom. I can recommend this desk as extremely useful for the recovery stage of illness or injury. This is for a person who has reached the stage of sitting up in bed, or the stage of working on crafts or scrap-booking or related projects while sitting in a supportive chair. Some of the comments include wobblee-ness as a negative, but I have not had this problem with this desk. A fair amount of assembly is required, and the metal pieces must be tightened correctly. Person who needs this desk for recovery purposes may not be able to complete the assembly un-assisted. The base should be assembled first. The top is somewhat heavy with metal pieces in place, and some who can benefit from this desk may lack the strength necessary for lifting this top section onto the assembled base. Helper may be required, The desk pieces include small tools which are adequate for tightening of metal pieces. Modifications: The larger section, the section for laptop or journal or craft project has a strip which is low enough to be out of the way of hands and wrists. User must keep in mind that this strip is almost the exact thickness of the lower section of a laptop. This means that a bump with a leg can result in the laptop sliding over the strip and into the user's actual lap. I have a safety cord to prevent this. This cord goes around the hinge section of my laptop, feeds through the two holes on the other side of the desk, and ties underneath. With understanding of the need for minor modifications, this Tiger Dad adjustable desk could turn out to be an excellent purchase. Note: Reader of this review might see Vine Voice by my name, but this does NOT mean that I received this desk "for free" in exchange for my review. I paid the full price for this desk, and have contributed this review without any promise of any type of compensation. I have just thought that my assessment, as a buyer who has been using this desk, might be helpful to someone who has been searching for a laptop/journal desk which might be used comfortably through recovery from back injury or other problem. This desk can be "modified to work" in many different situations, and I just wanted to share my experience.

Your New Work Accessory
Love this table. I had foot surgery and had to work from bed and this has been fantastic. It tilts either way so you can use it on either side of the bed. The stand isn't as fancy as other tables, you have to manually adjust with tension screws but if you're not going to change the hight or tilt much it's great. Because it doesn't have the firm mechanism underneath for the tilt it is a bit wobbly when typing, especially if you're fast, but with my blanket over my leg it helps support it. I wish it was a little longer and wider just to have a little more space on the stationary part but that doesn't make me unhappy with the table. For those that are right side of the bed or left handed this is basically the only one I found for this type of use. Best of all, it's super easy to put together. A great value for the cost.

great option for the sofa
when i broke my leg and was set to live on my sofa for 10 weeks, i needed a space i could work from. I ordered this table and it arrived, i was able to assemble it myself, perched on the edge of said sofa. It holds my 17" laptop well and i was able to assemble it so it tilts on the left and the right side is static. the wheels do lock, but they aren't solidly locked, so in the case of a sudden bathroom trip, you can still push the table away, even though it will click its mild resistance at you. over time, the clamps that hold the table still seem to be loosening, but they are plastic clamps with metal screws, so some movement should be expected, a quick tightening and they go back to work. It was a great purchase and i'm so glad i did it. Update from 2024: we still use this item almost every day! My husband now uses it as a sofa table for his laptop and when we are having snacks on the couch it works perfectly. We did get a new couch with a smaller gap under it and the wheels and base no longer fit under the couch, so be aware of that if you have a low-to-the-floor sofa. Otherwise, it's a workhorse for 3 years now and no regrets.

A good idea but...
I purchased this table on October 18th, 2024. It is now August 17th, 2025. Overall, the IDEA of this table is awesome. It swivels, it adjusts, you can adjust the mouse part and the main table part. And if you need it on your left? It can do that too. My issue is, the stability of the adjustment part. It doesnt use a system of holes that locks the table at a height. Instead, it applies some pressure around the tube which makes it gradually fall. Not much of a problem at first. I just re-adjusted for my task and moved on. However, I was using this for work AND for my casual time. So within the few months I had it, one of the adjuster parts loosened (a part i could not fix. Its underneath metal). It can no longer tighten the tube to keep it up. Now the table will not stay at my chosen height and I am searching for a replacement. It makes me sad. I hope that can be improved in the future. I will not purchase this again as the main issue is a design flaw. I work from home most of my days. When I am relaxing, I used the table for my personal laptop as well. So it did get used daily. For sporadic use it might be better.

Great sturdy table for laptops or other things.
Great little table. Bought it for my bedroom for my laptop so I could used it in bed. It does split so you can have one long table or 2 tables that are about 2/3 and 1/3 of the table. For like you drink, mouse pad. Anything. It tilts and has edges on both sides for a pen not to roll off. Easy to put together took me about 30 minutes with 3 dogs helping. I would say tighten it up more when you move it rise or lower it. Came when it said . I would buy again. PS Wright now I have a huge printer on it and it has been fine.

Very poor quality.
The stem pipe is thin gauge and not very sturdy. From the first day I could see that the table was not level as the stem bent under modest weight placed on the table. The stem is held in place by two screws, and therefore requires a lot of work to change the height, that is, IF you can change the height. It seems that those screws not only held the stem in place, but it seems that they may have bent the stem pipe such that it cannot be slid afterwards within the base and therefore cannot move from where I originally set it. The wheels are small in diameter, which makes the table difficult to move on a rug. From the first day that I assembled it I worried that that it was going to collapse. I quickly ordered the Vaunn Medical Adjustable Tilt Overbed Bedside Table for $30 more. It was well worth it. Much sturdier, much easier to adjust the height as well as the tilt. There is a rim around the entire perimeter of the Vaunn table that prevents things from sliding off. The Vaunn table has larger diameter wheels that make it much easier to move around on a rug. Finally, the Vaunn table will go to a greater height and provide more clearance on a thicker mattresses. My wife suggested that I sell or donate the Changzhou Tiger Dad table, but I feel guilty even giving that table away for free, fearing that it will harm someone by spilling hot soup or coffee on on an invalid when it gives way.

Was skeptical at first, but I like it!
I only have this for a few days now. The previous one I had was made of wood and all metal with the exception of the plastic wheels. It was solid...until it broke when I lost my balance and put much of my weight on it, breaking the welds of the pole under the table. It lasted a long time though, so it more than paid for itself in it's usability. When I unboxed this laptop table, was initially disappointed that the locking mechanisms under the table are made of plastic, leading me to think it's not going to be good. Once I finished building it, realized how much more flexible it is with the many more adjustments that it can do compared to my old one. The quality is better than I expectied, and I'm quite happy that I bought this! I just hope it doesn't wear down too quickly from readjusting a bunch of times!

Very cheap product, not worth the money!!!
This product is cheaply made, it's mostly plastic, can be unsteady, and the vertical post has 2 tightening screws don't secure it well, and come loose easily, making the part you put your laptop on sway when you try and move it. I had a different tray of a same similar design which was mostly steel, the screws that kept your upper tray in place actually went through the vertical post to keep it steady instead of relying on 2 screws just pushing up against the post to fasten it, not only that but it was around the same price and lasted me about 7 years, this product will only last maybe a couple months. If I could've found the original product I used to use, I would have bought it, but this seemed similar enough that I had high hopes, which have been destroyed, and if I wanted to waste my time taking it apart so I could return it I would.

Best thing since Sliced bread🍞
I received this as a gift for Christmas. It's AMAZING. I'm big into being cozy while I game and watch movies or watch shows-I like my bed and being in it. I always had such a problem holding my laptop on my lap or placing it on a pillow. Which heats the computer and slows stuff down. Yeah a lap desk is fine but still it can be a pain in the ass to get up once you're comfortable. This thing is soooo freaking amazing you can tilt the table as much as you want, you can adjust the height and if you need to get up it's on WHEELS! So it rolls under my bed and rolls away. I don't have to disrupt my entire set up just to get up to pee. It's such a game changer. 100% recommended 10/10 also super easy to put together its soooooooo simple. Got 2 together in less then 15mins.

Easy to assemble
Easy to assemble. Not very sturdy for the price. Would be unsafe around small children but fine for adults. I like to be able to sit on the sofa and use the computer. The slant is perfect for resting your arms when typing keys. I do like the table just wish it had been sturdier. But overall it's good and suits the purpose I use it for. I

Difficult to move
It is useful over the bed but wheels locks without anyone touching them. I can't unlock them from my bed.
